The Nitty Gritty of Getting Organized-The Garage
To the bottom |
| Here's a
sample. You'll have to check back later. There's more to come. |
|
I'm big on putting like things
together in containers and labeling them. I don't have to look
through every box to find something and I don't have to remember what's in
what box. I can read it on the outside. Sometimes I attach a
list, if it's odd stuff or things I think I'll forget are in there.
Below on the left is our Recycle "Center" in our garage. I'm going
to find a large container for that bottom shelf. I have to drive 1/2
an hour to and back to drop it off, so I let it build up before going.
On the left are boxes of plumbing, electrical, automotive gardening
"essentials" and stuff that might be good for something someday.
That remains to be seen. Oh, and a little more reuse and recycle
stuff. |

Lumber sorted & stacked by size, we try to not let it get too heavy. |

|
Left: we hang up whatever we can. It makes it easier to keep
the floor clean. Right: Use
clear containers so, at a glance, the contents are known.
Tape one piece , with clear, strong mailing tape, on the outside
for a clearer view.

| Below, two
sides of the garage. I really like the tools hung neatly so I don't
have to hunt for tools. Why make a job harder than it has to be? |
