Self - Portraits #2 by M.C.Gillis

This series of four self-portraits were done prior to the yoga inspired series.  They represent a catharsis, a phoenix rising from the ashes.  The change, in my psyche and habit patterns, that these four images represent was twenty six years in the making.

The images were created over a summer.

Read them like a book, left to right, and top to bottom.

In My Darkest Hour,

I Keep hope Alive

Think.  Feel.  Do.  Think.  Feel.  Do.  Which comes first?  I think the thoughts do.  Its the unconscious thoughts that have given me the most trouble.  Self-reflection, study, patience, acceptance, forgiveness, letting go, and love are all part of the process I use for emotional healing.
